Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 23 feb 2013Hotel perfetto per soggiorni lunghi in quanto ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. La mia camera aveva un letto matrimoniale ed un letto supplementare per mia figlia uno schermo lcd ed un bagno con vasca e bidet. Se si vuole modificare la temperatura interna della camera bisogna lasciare un deposito di 10 sterline per avere un telecomando. La colazione per noi italiani è perfetta in quanto ci sono cornetti, pan raisin (cornetti all'uvetta grandi e piccoli) saccottini al cioccolato, panini,nutella (proprio nutella) marmellate,yougurt e pane da tostare. Se cercate la colazione inglese dovete pagare un supplemento perchè di salato è presente solo il prosciutto cotto. L'hotel si trova in zona 3 ed è a 15 minuti a piedi dalla metro (ma c'è il bus 48 che passa ogni 10 minuti e vi lascia sotto l'hotel). In 30 minuti si è in pieno centro. Se dovete passare pochi giorni a Londra forse non è l'ideale ma per chi deve passare una settimana come abbiamo fatto noi è consigliabile

Per quanto riguarda la stanza c'erano armadi piccolissimi ci si deve adattare.Buona colazione e molti giovani, dunque alla sera c'era parecchio movimento.

"ottimo per tutto salvo che per la prima colazione"
La sola eccezione al gradimento dell'Hotel Residence di Londra va ricercata nella mediocre accoglienza al buffet della prima colazione, che è privo di pane tostato, pane in genere, burro, cioccolato e latte caldo e che è sempre a corto dei pochi cibi a disposizione, che vengono rinnovati con lentezza.Recensioni obiettive degli ospiti Expedia

"OTTIMO HOTEL E OTTIMA POSIZIONE"
Sono stata con il mio fidanzato a Londra dal 5 all'8 gennaio 2012. Siamo arrivati in hotel alle 3 del mattino e alla reception sono stati cordialissimi e simpatici. Noi avevamo la camera al primo piano, nuovissima, arredata moderna, con ogni comfort e molto spaziosa. Non avevamo la colazione inclusa dunque non so esprimere un giudizio sulla qualità. L'hotel […] è situato in una bellissima zona piena di negozi, ristoranti e bar. A 5 min a piedi dal natural history e dalle fermate della metro south kensington e gloucester road. "Ideal spot for us"
Location is 2 blocks to the S. Kensington tube. We walked everywhere from here because we had amazing weather. Close to Hyde Park, Harrods, High Street, museums, etc. The morning breakfast was a little skimpy is the only thing I can say derogatory. We were on the back of the building and heard the front of the building was too loud to leave windows […] open. So ask for a quiet room if you are a light sleeper. Love the location which is why we chose the Regency. Many rooms are small and dark; we saw several of them. No shampoo or conditioner, just some all purpose bath gel. We had to go buy our own. The "fitness center" is just 3 machines. The water was off for several hours one morning, and both elevators were out one evening. The staff was cordial, but […] nothing approaching warm or helpful. "Not horrible, but not recommended."
The location is convenient (close to Hyde Park and only a few minutes walk to the tube) and the room was clean, but that is about all I have to say that is good about the hotel. Although the appearance of the hotel as well as the room was nice, I did not feel I got what I paid for. The staff was not overly-friendly, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, […] and the room was incredibly hot (the a/c did not work). In addition, the walls/doors/widows are very thin so between the traffic outside and other people making noises in their rooms there was always something annoying to listen to. The hotel overall was decent, I suppose, but for the amount I paid (250 GBP or so per night) I expected better. If nothing else, then at least a comfortable bed. We had the experience of not having any water in the morning due to a water mains burst in the road outside. The staff handled it very well without showing any signs of panic (not visible anyhow). Lovely hotel in a good location and good service. Was pleasantly surprised with some extras included such as a exec suite with light breakfast, coffee and interenet all day and drinks early evening. Very small rooms I had 2 rooms not connecting ( which they where able to give us but wanted to charge us extra ) I think with having 2 rooms for 7 nights they could of changed the rooms and NOT charged extra :( ok if u are 1 in each room but not possible for 2 people very small closet space NO mini fridge :(Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

Charming old world exterior with modern upgrades inside, this hotel (perfectly located in upscale South Kensington between two nearby tube stops) features hi tech amenities like memory foam beds, sensor-activated room lights and flat screen TV with external component plugs for your computing and gaming needs. My room rate included a continental breakfast, […] gym use and free wifi. The breakfast was rather skimpy (mostly a small selection of fruit and muffins) and the wifi required a staff member bringing up a new code to my room each day. But aside from these minor demerits, I really liked this hotel and will certainly be back. The staff is polite and helpful, but non intrusive. The rate I paid was quite good for London. My friend and I traveled to London for our first visit just a week ago. We knew nothing about London but am grateful for the luck we had in finding and booking the Regency Hotel. We arrived at the South Kensington tube station directly from Heathrow. A short walk along Old Brompton Rd (which is lined with restaurants and stores) brought us to this hotel. […] Everything, beginning with the check-in, was excellent. The staff are friendly and nice and we couldn't be happier with our room. We are especially thankful for the cleanliness of this hotel and couldn't be more grateful to have a clean room to come back to after exploring a raining city all day. This was our first stay at the Regency Hotel. Room was newly done in every way but keeping a great English touch. Very clean & comfortable. Helpful staff that were very friendly. Restaurant was good for breakfast and cocktails. Good for light dinner also. Will definitely stay here a next time in London. Metro and shops a few minutes walk away.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Regency Hotel in South Kensington, UK"
This was my 2nd stay at the Regency. The hotel is in a great location - roughly 4-5 blocks from So. Kensington stop on Picadilly Line. Loads of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Very safe at night. Close to V&A and Natural History Museum. They've updated and modernized it -- very nice. Pros: Location Hotel is clean and well kept. Staff […] is very helpful. Afternoon tea and cocktails (may be only for certain accomodations) Cons: You can hear street traffic, pedestiran noise and sirens. Advice is to get a room on upper floors. Walls aer very thin and you can hear paper crinkling in the next room. Temperature of room was very hot (visit was in Feb.) and unable to lower it. "Great hotel in a great location!!"
Hotel was very nice, rooms were extremely clean. Hotel was in walking distance to a lot of attractions. This was our 2nd time to London so we didn't walk to the big attractions (London Eye, Westiminster etc.) but it was close to what we did see (Hyde Park, Harrods, Royal Albert Hall). "Great location, lovely hotel"
The location is just what we were looking for, super restaurants in the area, the tube a short walk. Our rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. The windows opened for fresh air which was great because we don't like a warm room for sleeping. The staff are more than accomodating and eager to assist in any way. "Queensgate rooms not worth the exter money"

"As experienced"
1 Location excellent. Surrounding neighbourhood excellent. What was required was not delivered. I requested 3 beds in one room for 3 adults and was informed that as it was a special request it would be given and it was confirmed by the hotel to your office. In addition the website for the hotel indicated that it catered for 3 adults unlike other hotels […] which indicated clearly that they only catered for 2 adults per room. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a room with 2 single beds and a third bed of a pull out variety no more that 2 feet 6 inches wide. this type of bed is more suited to a child. The concierge suggested that we look at another option that would cost us more but might be more suitable. this time we were offered a room with 2 single beds and a pull out of the double variety. the pull out was very uncomfortable. In addition the quality of the shower was unsatisfactory in that when on hot the power fo the water was insufficient to rinse out shampoo from fairly thick hair. The hairdryer is located in a drawer and is almost imossible for a woman to use and there was no light over the mirror. I trust this review will enable you to advise the hotel of the shortcomings which may assist future customers. We will not be staying in the Regency again. Stay was comfortable, staff very helpful. Queensgate room was small, cracked window. Bottled water in room had been refilled from previous use as the seal was broken and the bottle was dirty. Rooms were hot, even without heating on, although when asked about the air conditioning, the hotel do not have it switched on in the winter, so could only offer […] the opening of the window which made the room noisy as the Queensgate rooms are facing the Queensgate Road. Very good location near Gloucester Rd and South Kensington tube stations. Great service from front desk, bellman, and concierge. Upon departure needed transport to Surrey for our family of five and the taxi service that the hotel uses was exemplary. We booked with Regency and showed up 15 minutes later due to a bad situation in a hotel up the road. They were super accommodating and the room was very nice, in a beautiful location, and the staff was great! It was really clean and felt super safe.
