The staff were extremely attentive and were able to get our room much earlier than check-in time. The suite was huge, sparkling clean, well decorated and very convenient. We stayed three nights at the NY Plaza this week. It was a highly luxurious experience and was a real highlight of our anniversary. Our room on the 18th floor was nice, all gold and white and the bathroom was totally amazing. "Smoke and Mirrors"
The hotel room was comfortable and spacious...except there were a couple of things I wasn't expecting. For example, the mirror in the bar area was badly stained. And, in the restroom, the bathroom paper roller was being held together by grey duck tape. The carpet seemed like it had seen it's share of stains and it was too noticeable for me not to forget. Staff was unattentive. Concierge makes you wait 10 minutes and doesn't acknowledge you there. No communication because front desk representative misquoted where the gym was. "One of the greatest trips ever!"
This past week was our first visit to NYC, and the trip was my daughter's 18th birthday gift from our family. Mother and daughter, two Oklahoma girls in the big city by ourselves! The minute we set foot in The Plaza, we felt at ease! The staff, from the front desk, concierge, bellmen, and house keeping, were all so cordial, helpful and friendly! Our […] first night in the city we came in after supper and shopping to find a birthday cake waiting for us along with all the other evening turn down service perks! My daughter was THRILLED! On the day that we were to leave, we discovered that the shuttle that was called (by the concierge) was not the shuttle that I had prepaid for. The concierge apologized for his error, and called the hotel limo to drive us to the airport! (complete with ice cold water for the drive!) Total experience was wonderful! The Plaza is classic New York, just off Central Park. Beautiful location. Superb staff. Elegant rooms. Nice spa. Bar had a jazz quartet one night. Just lovely. "The Plaza exceeded my expectations & then some!!"
My stay at The Plaza was AMAZING!! I felt like royalty & it definitely lived up to all of the expecations I had. It truly was the best place to stay in New York City. It was so close to various attractions & in a very safe part of the city. I loved that it was right across the street from Central Park! "Anniversary Stay"
I reserved a room for my parents' anniversary and their stay was amazing - they even got to check in early! Even in NYC, you will want to spend the night 'in' to enjoy the hotel. Great staff and service!Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

The space in the room and bath for a NYC hotel was remarkable. The staff was every helpful, not New York haughty, as is so often the case. The room was worth every penny. The cost of room service, however, was beyond the pale - twenty dollars for a cup of coffee. Luckily there is Green Cafe take-out location on the 58th St. side to get around this when […] the guest has the time to go. Fabulous experience at the Plaza. The staff couldn't do enough for us - and we were only there for one night. A free upgrade to the top floor with a view over Central Park. They organised our reservations at a Downtown restaurant and gave us free use of the Hotel car. Travelled in style and blew us away with their service standards. iPad controls for […] the room. A bath which you could swim in. Fully equipped bar area with sink etc etc. This cost a bit for my wife's birthday, but we genuinely felt it was value for money (I'm normally quite tight so this is real praise!) "Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location"
Had a wonderful stay at The Plaza. Initially I was a little disheartened as I thought the room would've been bigger with better views. We looked out onto a large skyscraper, with no real view. Bathroom was amazing, great shower room with separate w/c. Attention to detail was fantastic. We were well looked after by the evening housekeeper. She was ever […] so helpful and attentative, especially in helping us with our ongoing problem of the tv receiving no signal, then having no sound. We tried twice to phone down to reception for help with the tv, but twice the calls went to voicemail. When mentioned to staff at the front desk they were very apologetic. Another slight annoyance was that on two of our five days at the hotel we did not receive our daily newspaper. Minor details, but annoying never the less. The bed was amazing. One of the comfiest I have experienced. Great pillows too. Location...well what else can be said...perfect! Overall, a very enjoyable stay at The Plaza.
